Umrah is indeed highly special for every Muslim as it is an extremely blessed pilgrimage. Nonetheless, some Muslims are not able to make the most of their experience due to poor planning. In this blog, we will discuss how preparing for this journey with oneโs family is art in itself. Travellers from around the world head to the city of Makkah to perform family Umrah and thus the anticipation of this journey alone is surreal. Then, when you book one of the Family Umrah packages with flights, the experience becomes even better and smoother. So, letโs not waste more time and dig right into this subject.
Understanding the Purpose of Umrah
Primarily, you have to comprehend what Umrah signifies and what importance it holds in the Islamic faith. When a Muslim absorbs the real meaning of this pilgrimage, the journey becomes even more magical. This pilgrimage is purely meant to bring you closer to Allah (swt). Moreover, pilgrims have the chance to ask for His divine forgiveness right before his exalted house in Makkah. All that matters is your intention for this journey. If your Niyyah is pure, this voyage can be transformative for you.
The Phase of Spiritual Preparation
Then the second important aspect on the list is spiritual preparation. Muslims from around the world start preparing mentally for their pilgrimage by changing their habits. You must have noticed that aspiring Umrah pilgrims are seen strengthening their relationship with Allah (swt) months before actually setting off. This is important because if you prepare yourself well before the actual journey starts, your heart will be more into the experience. Know that by nurturing sincerity, patience, and devotion ahead of time, you can fully focus on worship and make the most of every moment during your blessed Umrah journey.
Learning the Rituals of Umrah
Then, during the spiritual preparation also comes the act of learning Umrah rituals. Aspiring Umrah pilgrims mainly attend seminars or online sessions to try their best to learn and comprehend these rituals. Also, it is very important to teach the kids about these rituals beforehand if they are travelling with you. Besides, people also consult the scholars that they think are eligible to take advice from. These acts help you prepare yourself better for the most sacred experience of your life. If this is the only time you are performing this pilgrimage, it is only fair to embrace it to the fullest.
Practical and Logistical Preparation
Truth be told, this phase of preparation is just as important as spiritual readiness. If you do not lay the right groundwork for your Umrah, the journey can quickly become stressful and distracting. Hence, make sure that you manage all the logistics of this journey properly. With the right kind of family Umrah packages with flights, the travel experience is guaranteed to be smooth and stress-free. This is because these all-inclusive travel packages often handle every aspect of your journey. You only have to worry about your worship and the rituals of Umrah during the experience. These packages also come in various forms and categories, so you can maximise your Umrah pilgrimage experience.
Financial Preparation
Another crucial aspect of preparing for Umrah is making sure that you are financially ready for the journey. Since this is an act of worship, it is always encouraged to undertake it with halal earnings and without putting yourself under unnecessary financial pressure. Therefore, plan your budget well in advance and account for everything from travel expenses to personal spending properly. If you choose the right Umrah package, managing your finances also becomes much easier because most of the major travel costs are already covered. This gives you peace of mind and allows you to focus on the true purpose of your pilgrimage. As a result, there is no need to worry about unexpected expenses.
Getting the Best Out of Your Time in the Holy Cities
Once you finally arrive in the holy cities, ensure that you try your best to make every moment count. It is quite easy and fairly natural as well to get caught up in shopping or sightseeing after you arrive in this glamorous country. But, remember that your primary purpose is worship. So, you must spend as much time as possible in the Haram, reciting the Holy Quran, making sincere dua, and engaging in the remembrance of Allah (swt) at every stage of this journey. Before you know it, your journey will come to an end, so cherish every opportunity to strengthen your faith and return home with a heart full of gratitude towards His Almighty and exalted existence.
