Tawaf

Allah commands:

وَلْيَطَّوَّفُوا بِالْبَيْتِ الْعَتِيقِ

(Surah Al-Hajj 22:29)

Sa’i

Sa’i- it starts after Tawaf. In this process Muslims circuit seven times between two hills, Safa and Mrwa. It Memories about the struggle of Hazrat Hajra. In this way, this act reflects the lesson of patience and trust in Allah.

Allah says:

إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِن شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ

(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:158)

This Ayat tells that sa'i is also the most sacred act of umrah and we should complete this with full devotion.

Halq and Taqsir – Symbol of Renewal

This is the last act of umrah. After tawaf and Sa'i, Muslims perform Halq and Taqsir. In this process men shave their head but women cut a small piece of their hair up to one inch. After this act umrah is complete. This act gives a lesson of renewal and spiritual cleansing.

Allah mentions:

لَّقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِى رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌۭ لِّمَن كَانَ يَرْجُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱلْيَوْمَ ٱلْءَاخِرَ وَذَكَرَ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًۭا

(Surah Al-Ahzab 33:21)

This ayat is general which encourages following the sunnah and performing each ritual with full intention.

Benefits of Umrah

The benefits of Umrah are greater than physical rituals. Muslims perform each ritual with full effort and pure intention. In this way they get forgiveness and inner peace, even after returning home they feel the same. After this they see many positive changes in their daily lives.

Allah reminds us:

وَاسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلَاةِ وَإِنَّهَا لَكَبِيرَةٌ إِلَّا عَلَى الْخَاشِعِينَ

(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:45)
